Happy 3rd Birthday Elio!
Despite Elio, Nico and I all being sick this weekend
(the boys both had their first 24 hour flu),
I'm pretty sure he had the best birthday,
a boy turning three could ask for.
He started the day with gingerbread shaped pancakes- his request.
Then a little fishing trip with Daddy, Nonno, and Nico.
They didn't catch any fish, but they did go to the park to fly kites after.
The boys were pretty tired after the morning activities, so they took a little nap.
After nap time, we went up to Nonna and Nonno's. They had a little surprise waiting for him in the garage.
Here's Elio as the garage door is opening:

YAY!!! A Polaris Ranger!
(just like Nonno!)
Even a seat for brother!
Thanks Nonno and Nonna!
After the exciting new toy, we had spaghetti and meatballs for dinner and a car cake for desert (both requested by the birthday boy).
I'd say it was a pretty great birthday, although I'm a little worried for next year. Aren't birthdays supposed to be better every year? I'm not sure how we're going to top this one!
