What a great weekend!
Friday was Elio's Birthday, so we left a little early for our Chico trip to hang out with the MacArthur clan. Elio had lots of fun playing with Grant, and it was great to spend time with some good friends. After that we were off to Kellen's Graduation Party at Crush. She graduated from Chico State, gosh it seems like yesterday she moved to Chico.
On Saturday we were in Vacaville. Uncle Mike, Auntie Raquel, Nonna, and Nonno all went to Chucky Cheese with us. Elio had so much fun. He played lot's of games, opened presents, and had pizza, then we went back to the house to have cake. Even though it was a quick trip, it was so nice to be able to hang out, relax a little bit and have fun with the boys.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELIO

Always wants to be outside ♥ Is super sweet to his brother...most of the time ♥ Loves hats, shoes and especially his boots ♥ Can't get enough of the hammer, he calls it a ham ham ♥ Loves cartoons; Caillou is his favorite, and in a close second Kipper ♥ Is so proud when he uses his potty, and he insists on flushing it down the toilet, then waves and says bye bye to it ♥ Blows kisses, and LOVES to give the rock ♥ He gets excited to put on his jammies ♥ Loves being naked ♥ Gives the best hugs and kisses (it's especially great when he asks for them) ♥ Kicks and throws the ball like a pro ♥ Wants everyone that comes to our house to play with him ♥ He's learning to ride his tricycle ♥ Is excited to see animals ♥ His favorite part of the day is when daddy comes home ♥ Climbs up into Nico's crib, although he can't get out by himself quite yet ♥ Blows Kisses ♥ Goes down the biggest slide at the park all by himself ♥ Pretends to be a monster, and scares everyone, including the chickens ♥ Points to a picture of himself and says "Elio" ♥ Is scared of bugs ♥ Loves to get into trouble, and hates time outs ♥ Insists on getting himself dressed, and of course he never matches ♥ Makes us read the same books over and over again ♥ He could water my flowers all day long if I let him ♥ Repeats what you say ♥ Enjoys helping us cook ♥ Loves tractors, tools, trucks and pretty much anything boyish ♥

Basically he's such a typical two year old. It's hard for us to believe we have a two year old. Some days it seems like we just had him, others it seems like forever ago. He is such a fun and sweet little boy, we love him so much and couldn't image our lives without him.

Checkups!

The boys went in for their checkups today.

Elio was in for his 2 year checkup, he was 29 lbs 4oz and 37 1/4 inches. They do a fun height prediction when they turn two. I think they double the height, so they thought he would be around 6'1" or 6"2 went he is an adult. He was in the 95 percentile for height and 75th for weight.
Nico went for his 4 month checkup, he weighed 17 lbs 4 oz and he was 27 and 3/4 inches. They said Nico was off the charts for height and because he was so long, it made his weight percentile in the 70's.
It was a great checkup, they are both happy, healthy and developing very normally!

Eye Update

The doctor thinks there is about a 10% chance that I have Pseudotumor Cerebri. It doesn't seem that it's that big of a chance, but just to be safe, he wants to see me in a month to check up on it and make sure everything is looking good. I guess we'll see what happens in a month.

Oh, try not to laugh...Turns out, I need glasses...Ughhh...Not exactly what I wanted to hear, but I ended up getting a super cute pair.

They said if it goes good I may be able to get contacts. Woohoo.

Nico just rolled over for the FIRST time!

He's been pretty close to rolling over for a couple of weeks, but he finally did it tonight. It was great...We had Papa (my dad) and Nonno (Kyle's dad) over for dinner. After dinner we were playing in the living room and everyone got to watch him roll over for the first time.

This is the coop mostly completed.
We just have a few finishing touches left and to build the run.

Here's some cute pictures of the chicks right after we got them,
they were only a few days old.

Many of you know I have had headaches for years. I have done so many different things to try to get rid of them; acupuncture, acupressure, food journal, massage, medication, rolfing, chiropractor, headache journal, etc.

I have been to several different doctors, they all tell me I may never find an answer to my headaches. Not exactly what someone who wakes up most days with headaches wants to hear.

I just went to this new doctor in Fort Bragg, and she told me the same thing, but she also recommended I have my eyes checked. So I did.

My vision is great, no problems, but he thinks that my optic nerve could be inflamed, which could be causing my headaches. If it is, I will probably have to have a spinal tap to remove some fluid in my spine (ouch!).

I had to go back to the same eye doctor for more extensive testing. This time I didn't do as great. So now, he wants me to get a second opinion this Friday. The doctor told me not to stress about it, and I'm not.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but it's such a wonderful feeling to think that I might have a cure for my headaches...I'll let you know how it goes.
