Nico's Check Up

This morning Nico and I went to the hospital to have his hearing checked (the machine was broken when we were having him). I have good news...HE PASSED! After that we went to the doctor to have his circumcision checked and the doctor said everything looked great. I'm happy to report his weight is up to 9 lbs 13 oz. Our next doctor visit will be in about 6 weeks when he is 2 months old.

20 lbs

I know it hardly counts (it's not like I've put much effort into it) but I'm down 20 lbs from my ending pregnancy weight. I tried on some of my jeans yesterday and I can fit into a few pairs. I'm pretty happy with my weight loss so far, especially considering I had Nico two weeks ago tomorrow!

Personal Mission

I have been eating pretty much whatever I wanted throughout my whole pregnancy. Now I'm going to clean it up and get in shape!

I gained 26.5 lbs total during my pregnancy. I have lost 18 lbs so far (I guess having a 9 lb 4 oz baby helps). My personal goal is to lose all the weight plus some extra. I know it's going to take some time and effort. I thought by writing about it, and sharing with it everyone, it might keep me motivated. I'll keep you all updated and let you know how it goes!

WELCOME HOME NICO!

Nico Vincent Nelepovitz was born on Jan 14th at 6:25pm. He weighed a whopping 9lbs 4oz and was 20.75 inches long. We had no idea we were going to have such a BIG boy! Nico was born with light brown hair and blue eyes, much different than our little blondie! He has been a great baby so far, he just wants to sleep and eat.

We were able to come home from the hospital today, we were only there for 23hrs! It's so nice to be home, and we missed Elio sooo much. They no longer allow children to come and visit at the hospital because of the swine flu. Elio came with Nonna and Nonno but had to stay outside or in the cafeteria. Kyle and his parents took turns so Kyle could spend a little time with him yesterday and they could see Nico.

Now that we are home things are going really well. Elio LOVES his little brother. He's been giving him kisses and doesn't want to stop holding him. It's so sweet. Kyle and I weren't sure how things were going to go, so far we have been pleasantly surprised!

Elio's First Fishing Trip

Grandpa gave Elio his first fishing pole, and he loved it! Elio didn't want to put it down, in fact he threw a huge fit when it was time to go because he didn't want to give up his pole. While the boys were fishing Elio caught his first fish!
