San Diego

Carmel Popcorn, San Diego Zoo, Nico's First Airplane Ride, Tigers, Buca di Beppo, Elephants, Cousins, Zebras, Knot's Berry Farm, Nonna and Nonno, Hippos, Elio's First Amusement Park Ride, Turtles, Grandma, LA, Aunts, Birds, Ice Cream, Train Ride, Monkeys, Fountains, Uncles, Car Ride, Giraffe, Coffee, Balboa Park, Boat Ride, Filippi's Pizza, Safari Hat, Baby Camel, Snoopy, Cookies, Gorilla, Baby Meerkat and more.

As you can see, we did a lot, saw a lot, ate a lot and had a wonderful time in San Diego and LA. We visited with lots of family and were able to go on a few adventures. Our flights went really good, we were complimented on how well our children did on both flights. Marisa and Richard met us down there with all of our luggage. It made the airport so much easier, and we are so thankful they were there to help us out. Wow, it's a bit more of a challenge traveling with two children but so much fun. We can't wait to go back!

I'll be posting pictures soon, we took a ton. I've been really busy trying to get everything put away and my house cleaned since we are having our good friends Melissa, Daniel and Grant come this weekend.

San Diego

Myself, Kyle, Elio and Nico are all flying to San Diego very soon. I wanted to find out more info on traveling with children so I did a little research on the TSA website. I found some good information but I also found these two things that I thought were funny:
  • NEVER leave babies in an infant carrier while it goes through the X-ray machine.
  • While going though the Metal Detector, do not pass your child to our Security Officer to hold.
Really? Do they have to post these things. Sometimes I wonder about people.

We are excited and nervous for our trip. The thought of flying with two kids under 2 is a little overwhelming, but we know it's going to be tons of fun once we get there.

Nico's 2 Month Check Up

Length: 24 1/2 inches
Weight: 13.8 lbs
Head: 40cm

He's a big boy and in the 90th percentile for everything! The Doctor said he's a healthy happy baby. We couldn't agree more. I can't believe how much he has changed since he's been born and how fast it's gone by. He loves to smile, make cute little noises and he is getting really close to being able to hold his head up. He's starting to be more aware of his surroundings and Dr. Mahon said he made good eye contact.

I took a look at Elio's baby book, he was 14.1lbs and 24 inches long, he was also in the 90th percentile at his 2 month check up. Elio still seems tall compared to other kids his age. If this keeps up we might have some big boys!

A Good Night

Last night was AMAZING. Nico slept 9 straight hours, ate, then back to sleep for another 2 hours. We recently started to get both boys down at about 7:15 at night, it makes for an early wake up time of about 6 or 6:30, but at least Kyle and I get some quiet time in the evening. Let's hope this can continue!

Here are a few pic's:

I brought home my 3D glasses for Elio, he put them on upside down of course.

After four different doctors, being on medication for nearly a month, Nico being on medication for a week, and having horrible pain almost every time after I nurse, I have decided to call it quits. Since the doctors have no idea what is wrong with me and I'm tired of being in pain, I think it's best stop nursing. As much as I would like to continue, I just can't. I'm trying to look on the bright side. I've given Nico a great start, I can have my body back, oh and maybe get a little help from Kyle on the night shift (the weekends of course).
