We're expecting again!

We had our first doctor appointment yesterday. The doctor said I am about 6 weeks along, so that means we are due in the middle of January. We had a sonogram and were able to see the baby! It was still a little early to hear the heartbeat, so we get to go back in a few weeks for another visit.

Costa Rica

Wow, Costa Rica is a beautiful place! We had such a wonderful time. We did a lot of laying by the pool and relaxing at the beach. Elio had so much fun! He also celebrated his first birthday while we were there.

One of the highlights of our trip was a river ride through the jungle. We were able to see monkey's, birds and crocodiles. The crocs were pretty cool. The driver of the boat went right up to a crocodile nest and picked up a baby. Everyone that wanted to was able to touch it or hold it. It was really cool to see one up close.

After the boat ride we had dinner with the locals. They didn't have power and made us dinner over an open fire. The food was great, and the experience was even better. The people in Costa Rica were so friendly and nice.

Easter and Abalone

Well this last weekend we had our second Easter, and it was great. Actually both weekends were super fun! Elio wasn't really into hunting for eggs, however he loved to chew on them. He's seems to be chewing and drooling a lot lately. We think it's because both of his top teeth are coming through.
Elio is loving being able to walk, as I am writing this he is walking around the house, holding a toy hammer and banging it on anything he can reach. We thought he was getting into everything before but now that he is walking it's totally different. He loves to follow me around the house. His new favorite thing to do is to climb into the dishwasher. Let's just say he is learning the word NO.

Brandon and Richard were in town this weekend, and they took Kyle for his first abalone dive. They had a great time and they got their limits. Elio and I went and hung out on the beach while they were diving. We have had such beautiful weather the last couple of days, we feel so lucky to be back here.

Elio's Starting to Walk!

We took this video on Sunday night. Can't believe he is already walking, he's only 10 months old!

This weekend we went to Sacramento and stayed with my dad and brother. My dad just got back from Costa Rica and we hadn't seen him in about 2 months. It was nice to spend some time with them and catch up. We also went to a surprise birthday party for Kyle's uncle Alex. It was such a great birthday and I'm pretty sure he was surprised. We had perfect weather that day and a lot of fun.

What a weekend...

We had quite the eventful weekend. Kyle went to Chico and passed his Black Belt exam through the Chico Kodenkan. Kyle has been doing jujitsu for 7 1/2 years. This is a huge accomplishment, and we are so proud of him!

We all met in woodland for Mike's first football game. Mike is on a semi-pro league in Vacaville. It was a great game, Elio really enjoyed all the commotion, and stayed really entertained.

We also went over to Dena and Rob's house in Roseville so we could see them and cousin Sophia. Elio and Sophia are a month apart, so they did really well together. It's great seeing Elio with other babies. We can't wait until they can really play together, they are going to have so much fun.

House Burning

Wow, what a weekend! Our cousin Kellen as well as our good friends Melissa, Daniel and Grant came to visit. On Saturday we burned down the modular that is on our property. It was a really cool experience, we were able to watch the fireman set everything up, run drills and burn the house down. The fire department did such a great job. It was great to be able to have our friends and family with us for the big event. We are so glad to see that house gone!

On Sunday we were able to take Melissa, Daniel and Grant to Glass beach. It was really windy and cold, but we still had a great time, and were able to get some cute pictures of the babies.
